FORTHING Unveils New TK Series at Paris Motor Show 2026
On October 12, 2026, the Paris Motor Show opened its doors with a central theme of "FOR THINGS THAT MATTER." Among the standout exhibitors was FORTHING, presenting four innovative models: the TK5 BEV, TK5 PHEV, TK7 PHEV, and the V9 PHEV Camper Van. The company aims to redefine global family mobility, combining sustainable energy solutions with advanced technology.
Driving Technology Forward
Sylar Li, the Overseas Product Director at FORTHING, highlighted the introduction of this all-new TK series is aligned with their commitment to address diverse customer needs through technological innovation. The series is built on the EMA 3.0 global intelligent architecture, which encompasses both 800V high-voltage BEV and hybrid platforms. This approach guarantees not only faster charging but also reduced energy consumption, providing a reliable driving experience.
The production of the TK series is driven by FORTHING's "Riding the Wind Dual-Engine Plan" strategy, which seeks to deliver a comprehensive SUV + MPV lineup that caters to families around the world.
Spotlight on TK5 and TK7
The TK5 is designed to be an all-rounder urban SUV for the new generation. With its sporty 20-inch wheels and elegantly dynamic lines, it embodies both style and functionality. The feature-rich vehicle includes an intelligent cockpit and driver assistance system that is ideal for travel across various terrains. Notably, the TK5 BEV can charge from 20% to 80% in just 18 minutes via 800V high-voltage fast charging. For those opting for the PHEV version, the vehicle offers an impressive range of 210 km on electric power alone, extending up to 1,100 km when combining both electric and petrol engines, effectively easing range anxiety for users.
Conversely, the TK7 addresses the needs of larger families with flexible seating arrangements that accommodate between 5 to 8 passengers, striking a perfect balance between passenger space and storage. With features such as V2L (Vehicle-to-Load), the vehicle can power everyday appliances, which is especially useful for camping and picnics. It boasts a 500 km electric range and up to 1,100 km combined range, ensuring it is well-suited for both city commutes and family road trips. Enhanced cabin quietness and comfort add to the quality of the ride, making it a compelling choice for larger households.
Additionally, the V9 PHEV Camper Van was showcased at the event, aligning with the growing trend of outdoor living among European consumers. This model aims to extend the MPV use case into the camping lifestyle, tapping into the enthusiasm for versatile and adventure-ready vehicles.
Global Expansion and Localized Strategies
FORTHING aims to make strides in its global expansion by advancing localized production strategies, establishing service networks, and channel partnerships. This move marks a significant pivot from merely entering new markets to truly establishing a significant foothold in Europe. By showcasing the TK series and emphasizing their commitment to innovation and sustainability, FORTHING is not only exporting vehicles but also a new paradigm of mobility values. This shift is indicative of the broader change within China's auto industry, moving from hardware exportation to exporting a compelling brand philosophy.
The debut of the TK series at the Paris Motor Show is not merely about introducing new models; it is a strategic step towards redefining family mobility on a global scale while addressing the pressing needs of modern consumers. As FORTHING continues to evolve, it is poised to contribute significantly to the landscape of new-energy vehicles worldwide.
