Pacific Consultants Celebrates Award for Women's Empowerment

Pacific Consultants Co., Ltd., located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has proudly been recognized with the 2025 Aichi Women's Empowerment Company Excellence Award. The Aichi Prefecture initiated the "Aichi Women's Active Promotion Project" to ensure that women are engaged and can continue to work energetically.

Reasons for the Award

The organization received the award in the category for companies with over 301 employees. A unique initiative implemented by Pacific Consultants included DESI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) discussion training aimed at executive and managerial staff. Through this training, advanced awareness of the number of women in various branches and groups was implemented, encouraging personnel to utilize data to support their decision-making. This, in turn, has led to an increase in the number of women in management positions.

Another innovative program, known as "Sister Support," has been established to assist young female employees in their career design and job retention. This program matches veteran female employees with younger colleagues based on their specific queries and personality traits, facilitating valuable guidance beyond departmental borders.

Pacific Consultants also goes above and beyond the caregiving and childcare leave laws by instituting supportive systems, such as the short-time work system for employees raising children until they finish the third grade and nursing leave for those caring for children until they complete the ninth grade. These policies showcase the company's commitment to supporting its employees in balancing work and family responsibilities.

A special event known as Family Day is hosted by the Chubu branch to allow employees' families to learn more about the company. This initiative helps enhance familial support within employees’ homes and encourages social interactions among coworkers through their families, creating a more supportive workplace environment.
