Building a Greener Future: Insights from the 7th Global Installer Summit

From October 21-23, 2026, the 7th Global Installer Summit took place, uniting more than 1,000 partners and installers from 54 countries and regions. This summit was a pivotal gathering focused on discussing strategies, new products, solutions, and evolving trends within the home energy sector. The collective aim was to forge a new ecosystem for ecological energy and address the pressing need for sustainable energy solutions.

The Role of Huawei

One of the highlights of the summit was Huawei Digital Power's ambitious strategy to collaborate with installers. The company introduced an innovative product that promises to streamline energy production while emphasizing low emissions. Huawei aims to energize mobility electrification and support the widespread adoption of intelligent technology. Their solutions are already aiding over 4.3 million homeowners worldwide, as they work together with installers to tackle technical complexities and improve service delivery.

Introduction of LUTERRA™ S2

The expo's centerpiece was the debut of LUTERRA™ S2, touted as the industry's first fully integrated system based entirely on silicon carbide (SiC). This remarkable system was developed with a focus on efficiency and user-friendliness. Its features include complete wireless communication, a single SKU code to simplify logistics, a quick installation time of under ten minutes, and enhanced capacity and energy output.

Competition at the Summit

A significant aspect of the summit included the first-ever global installer competition organized by Huawei FusionSolar. This event showcased the exceptional performance of the LUTERRA S2, with participants from 48 teams across 36 countries. The competition concluded with a team from Spain achieving the fastest installation time of just 2 minutes and 32 seconds, highlighting the product's quick installation capabilities.

Insights from Industry Leaders

Various installers shared their successful anecdotes during the event. A French installer discussed transitioning from traditional reselling to a subscription-based platform that connects homeowners, installers, banks, and grid operators. Meanwhile, three representatives from Thailand elaborated on the integration of photovoltaic installations, energy storage systems, and green financing to develop smart home ecosystems rather than relying on individual products.

A Mexican installer presented best practices in addressing energy demands through compliance and collaboration, while a Brazilian installer showcased reliability by successfully installing Huawei’s first battery energy storage system (BESS) in the region before initiating sales.

Beyond a Business Event

This summit was more than a mere industry event; it served as a vital platform for installers worldwide to align on a unified vision for sustainable development. Huawei plans to continue its collaboration with installers, focusing on technological innovations and ecosystem growth to accelerate the global transition to ecological energy.

The LUTERRA S2 will be rolled out to Europe in November and the Asia Pacific region in December, signifying a major step forward in the fight against climate change. More updates are expected soon, as Huawei remains committed to supporting a greener future.
