Partnering with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), the company anticipates a dramatic reduction in market-based Scope-2 emissions—estimated to decrease by approximately 65%. This step signifies a crucial reduction in the greenhouse gas emissions attributed to the optical fiber (OF) and optical fiber cable (OFC) manufacturing processes.

Adoption of Green Hydrogen


Beyond the shift to renewable energy, STL is pioneering the use of 100% green hydrogen in its glass manufacturing processes. This particularly energy-intensive stage, traditionally reliant on conventionally produced hydrogen and oxygen, now favors a greener approach.
