Bharat RE Summit & Expo 2026: A Global Gathering for Clean Energy Investment and Innovation

Bharat RE Summit & Expo 2026: A Platform for Global Clean Energy Collaboration

The Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo 2026 is set to take place in New Delhi from November 2nd to 5th, bringing together representatives from over 130 countries. The summit is organized by the Indian Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and aims to promote global investments in clean energy, forge technology partnerships, and encourage international collaboration.

An Expanding Clean Energy Sector

India’s clean energy sector has been rapidly expanding, with the capacity of non-fossil fuel sources exceeding 304 GW as of August 2026, including 168 GW of solar energy. The nation has set an ambitious target of 500 GW of renewable energy by 2030, requiring significant investments in areas such as energy generation, transmission, storage, green hydrogen production, and more. This presents a wealth of opportunities for international capital, technology providers, and industry partnerships.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proudly stated that India is the first G20 nation to achieve its target set by the Paris Agreement. The upcoming summit will focus on accelerating the global energy transition, discussing crucial topics such as financing clean energy, resilient supply chains, green hydrogen, and scalable deployment models.

Opportunities for Developing Countries

The convergence of discussions at the summit will provide an essential platform for development countries striving for affordable energy access. There are immense prospects for technology exchange and innovative financing mechanisms. The International Solar Alliance (ISA) Assembly will contribute a multilateral perspective to these dialogues, connecting countries towards practical solutions for expanding solar energy utilization, mobilizing investments, and building local capacities.

Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Shri Pralhad Joshi, emphasized that “India’s journey towards clean energy demonstrates what is achievable when ambition is coupled with investments, innovation, and sustainable practices. The energy transition is a shared global responsibility regardless of national borders.” He called upon governments, investors, and innovators to build partnerships, strengthen supply chains, and promote solutions that make clean energy accessible and affordable for all.

An Engaging Gathering

The Bharat RE Summit & Expo 2026 anticipates over 75,000 attendees, including more than 400 exhibitors and 500 speakers across 90 curated sessions. The event aims to connect investment opportunities with innovative ideas, new technologies, and partnerships capable of expediting the global energy transformation.
