Danone Oikos Introduces Limited Edition Caramel Apple Protein Yogurt

Danone Unveils Oikos Caramel Apple Protein Yogurt

Danone Japan, headquartered in Meguro, Tokyo, has announced the launch of a limited edition flavor of its acclaimed Oikos brand, the "Caramel Apple Protein Yogurt with High Absorption Protein." This product will begin shipping to convenience stores nationwide on October 20, 2025, followed by supermarket distribution starting October 27, 2025.

Combining the refreshing flavor of apples with the creamy sweetness of caramel, this yogurt promises a delightful experience. Using Fuji apples familiar to Japanese palates, the yogurt features a crunchy texture alongside a rich sweetness and balanced acidity, finishing with a luscious caramel aftertaste. It's the perfect treat as the weather cools down, allowing consumers to savor the depth of flavors.

High Absorption Protein

The Caramel Apple Protein Yogurt boasts a protein content of 10.2 grams per 113g cup, highlighting its use of high absorption protein, which is effective for muscle synthesis and is absorbed more readily by the body. This creamy, strained yogurt is fat-free and has low glycemic index (GI) and only 85 kcal per cup, ensuring that individuals can consume it without worries about fat, sugar, or calorie intake.

Packaging Design

The packaging features a motif inspired by the iconic image of "apple and archery" commonly found in fairy tales. It showcases an archer representing focus and strength, resonating with sports enthusiasts. The apple's vibrant red color is integrated into the design, reflecting the brand's commitment to helping athletes and fitness enthusiasts charge up on protein deliciously.

Understanding High Absorption Protein

When it comes to protein intake for body tissue formation, both the quantity and the quality of protein absorption are crucial. High absorption protein refers to those that the body absorbs and utilizes effectively. The absorption rate is determined by the amino acid composition of the protein and is quantified by the Digestible Indispensable Amino Acid Score (DIAAS). The protein used in Oikos yogurt boasts a DIAAS comparable to that of boiled chicken breast. After consuming Oikos, studies have shown a significant increase in blood amino acid levels, confirming the product's effectiveness in delivering protein efficiently to the body.

The new yogurt is not only delicious but also packed with nutrition:
