World Top-performing Incubator Conference 2026: AI-Driven Innovation in Lingang

On October 26, 2026, the World Top-performing Incubator Conference (WTIC) officially commenced at the Lingang Center. This year's theme, AI-Driven • Innovation Incubates the Future, marks the event's first strategic collaboration with the World Laureates Forum (WLF), aligning their sessions over the same week.

The conference aims to address critical contemporary challenges through a novel acceleration mechanism that interlinks scientific discovery, technological transformation, and industrial incubation. This synergy seeks to bridge the gap from the initial milestone to the final implementation, a crucial aspect of modern innovation.

Scheduled from October 26 to 28, the WTIC not only serves as a pivotal platform for deep-tech incubation in China but will also be accompanied by a Deep-Tech Transformation Forum on October 31. This additional forum, closely tied with the WLF, aims to create institutional links between the innovative capabilities of leading scientists and high-caliber incubators that promote the efficient transformation of cutting-edge scientific achievements.

During the opening ceremony, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed between the Shanghai Technology Business Incubation Association (STBIA) and the WLF, highlighting the commitment to foster an efficient innovation pathway from foundational research to industrial applications. The event also plans to unveil the Shanghai Incubator Ecosystem White Paper 2026, offering a comprehensive overview of the current state and future trends of incubator development in Shanghai.

Over the past three years, the WTIC has rapidly gained traction, amassing over 21 million views and drawing participation from more than 200 speakers, including over 70 international guests from more than 50 countries and regions. The conference has evolved from merely a discussion-based platform to a symbiotic network, establishing itself as a regular mechanism for collaboration. This year, it leverages the dual impetus of WLF and WTIC to accelerate original innovations and focus global knowledge in Lingang, ultimately seeking to realize the pinnacle achievements in this special economic zone.

The WTIC also aims to reinforce Shanghai’s ambitions to become a globally influential hub for scientific and technological innovation. Additionally, the special zone of Lingang is striving to establish itself as a premier offshore innovation base with global resource allocation capabilities. This ongoing strategic enhancement aims to bolster both innovation and technological development within the region.

As we observe these dynamic developments at WTIC 2026, it’s clear that collaboration between top-tier scientific and technological innovators is essential for effective progression in the deep-tech landscape. The initiatives stimulated by this conference will likely resonate well beyond the event itself, potentially shaping the future of deep-tech incubation on an international scale.
