Royal Holdings and Meiko Career Partners Launch Training Program for Vietnamese Students in Hanoi

Launching a New Era of Training

In a significant step towards addressing the challenges within the Vietnamese and Japanese restaurant industries, Royal Holdings Co., Ltd. and Meiko Career Partners Co., Ltd. have officially launched a comprehensive training program at Hanoi University. This initiative is designed to cultivate skilled talents for the restaurant sector, leveraging the expertise of the Association for Overseas Human Resources Development (AOTS) and supported by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

A Collaborative Approach to Talent Development

This new training program combines academia and practical experience, allowing students to delve into the intricacies of the Japanese restaurant business. Participants will engage in in-class studies covering various aspects of restaurant operations in Japan, followed by hands-on training at Royal Group's establishments in Vietnam and further training in Japan. This structure aims not only to refine their professional skills but also to foster a sense of loyalty and understanding towards their future employers.

Addressing the Labor Shortage Problem

Japan’s restaurant industry, among others, is facing a pressing labor shortage due to an aging population and declining birth rates. As companies increasingly pursue globalization, securing and developing exceptional talent has become a primary management challenge. Additionally, the incorporation of foreign personnel has highlighted difficulties in retention, often attributed to a lack of educational and career support systems. Therefore, building a strong institutional framework is essential for nurturing a dedicated workforce.

Educational Focus

With the aim of constructing a new model of international talent development, Royal Holdings and Meiko Career Partners are targeting students learning Japanese at Hanoi University. Through this donation-based course, participants will gain foundational knowledge about the restaurant business, complemented by immersive training at Royal Group’s outlets in Ho Chi Minh City. This blend of education and real-world experience is pivotal in instilling Japanese hospitality and management acumen into students, ultimately preparing them for successful careers.

A Vision for the Future

Looking ahead, Royal Holdings and Meiko Career Partners aspire to develop executive-level talents eligible for the 'Technical, Humanities, and International Business' residency status through local education and practical experience. This initiative promotes a continuous cycle of 'Education -> Experience -> Employment -> Retention -> Performance,' aimed at fostering long-term career paths for outstanding individuals supporting international business expansion. Their vision includes strengthening partnerships with various educational institutions in Vietnam, thus enhancing the long-term training infrastructure.

Expanding Opportunities

Additionally, the program aims to expand beyond Vietnamese borders, potentially serving as a model for similar initiatives in other countries, further aligning with Royal Holdings' strategic goals. By packaging this training initiative into an internship program for Japanese students, the companies intend to create connections that benefit both local talents and the Japanese workforce.
