Participate in the 3×3 Program
Natadecoco, a nonprofit organization based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, is thrilled to announce its upcoming online briefing sessions for the
3×3 Program, aimed at nurturing professionals in international exchange. Scheduled for January 22 and 23, 2026, these sessions will provide prospective participants with essential information about this innovative hands-on program.
The
3×3 Program invites teams of three to plan and implement international exchange events over the course of three months. It is designed to foster collaboration between foreign residents and local Japanese community members, crafting a new model of multicultural coexistence, which has been a vision of Natadecoco for quite some time.
Background of the Program
For years, Natadecoco has embraced the motto
“Creating a world map in children’s minds,” welcoming over 100 foreign residents as volunteers to conduct cultural exchange lessons across the nation. These lessons provide foreign residents with opportunities to actively participate in society while allowing children to experience diverse cultures that they may not encounter in their everyday lives. This reciprocal exchange creates immense value for both participants.
The
3×3 Program marks a new chapter for Natadecoco by shifting from being the primary organizer to empowering foreign residents and local citizens to collaborate in forming their own teams to plan and implement cultural exchange events. This initiative not only enriches the community but also embodies the spirit of shared experiences among diverse backgrounds.
