Pinnacle Packaging Sparkles Up Local Villages for the Holidays
Pinnacle Packaging Brightens the Holidays
In a heartwarming initiative to uplift the holiday spirit, Pinnacle Packaging, Inc., in collaboration with three local businesses—Primitive Chick's, Glassic Dee-Sign, and The House Art Built—embarked on a community beautification project in Friendship, Wisconsin. This event, which took place in late November, marked the village's first attempt to inject a festive atmosphere into its downtown area by decorating lamp posts with garlands, lights, ribbons, and ornaments.
The idea was simple yet impactful: to create a visually welcoming experience that fosters a sense of community pride during the bustling holiday season. Nicole DeJoris, president of Pinnacle Packaging, shared her enthusiasm, stating, “This beautification effort is a visual gift to the community. It uplifts the downtown district, supports foot traffic for local shops, and sends a warm holiday welcome to everyone who lives, works, or visits here.”
The involved entrepreneurs dedicated between eight to ten hours of volunteer time to transform the village's streets into a winter wonderland. Angie Kossman, co-owner of Primitive Chick's, expressed her hopes that the decorated poles would bring joy to residents. “I’m so grateful for the hands and hearts that made it possible, and I know next year will shine even brighter as we continue building on this tradition together,” she remarked.
The initiative not only focused on beautification but also on strengthening local ties among the businesses and the community. Michelle Gacuma, owner of The House Art Built, noted the significance of contributing creatively to the community. Dee Riege, co-owner of Primitive Chick's and owner of Glassic Dee-Sign, shared her initial disappointment at the thought of no decorations and how her participation transformed that into excitement.
“Being part of this initiative truly moved me,” DeJoris added. “When small businesses come together to brighten our village, it creates a sense of connection that lasts long after the decorations are up.” This joint venture aimed at enhancing the village's atmosphere and reinforcing community bonds undoubtedly laid the groundwork for future projects.
In addition to the village beautification, Pinnacle Packaging also contributed to the holiday joy in Lombard, Illinois, by sponsoring the Candy Cane Lane Holiday Market. Held on December 6, this family-friendly event featured holiday characters, a food truck, and seasonal shopping, further emphasizing the spirit of community involvement.
The project symbolizes how small businesses can act as catalysts for local development, creating positive experiences that linger beyond the festive season. Recognizing and harnessing such communal efforts can often inspire greater volunteerism and enhance the local economy.
