Experience the Exciting World of Logistics
This winter, kids and their parents have a unique opportunity to dive into the fascinating world of logistics and IT through the
"Work Experience" program organized by Pal System, taking place at their cutting-edge facility in
Inagi City, Tokyo. Scheduled for
December 6, 25, and
January 10, 12, 2026, this program is designed for elementary school students and their guardians, aiming to enrich their understanding of home delivery systems.
Hands-On Learning Experience
Participants will have the chance to use sorting machines that Pal System employs in their logistics centers. The facilities are equipped with original videos, informative panels, and tablets, making it a dynamic and interactive learning experience that lasts approximately an hour. Children will come away with a better grasp of how goods are sorted and delivered, all while having fun in a supportive environment.
The Pal System currently delivers over
10 million items each week to
800,000 households. This experience will give kids insights into the complex logistics and information systems that ensure efficient delivery. As digitalization takes center stage in modern society, understanding these systems becomes increasingly valuable, especially as it relates to reducing food waste through pre-ordering groceries via cooperative services.
Participation and Future Impact
Since launching this initiative in 2023, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. To date, over
1,600 students have engaged in the program, including partnerships with local schools for workplace experiences. Children have expressed excitement, mentioning how they found shopping with tablets interesting and wanting even more experiences. Feedback from parents has also been encouraging, with many noting that it opened their children’s eyes to the world of food.

By leveraging tablets and interactive panels, they’ll discuss the intricacies of delivery mechanisms that are critical to our daily lives, thus nurturing a new generation of informed consumers.
In 2025, coinciding with the
International Year of Cooperatives, Pal System aims to cultivate a more sustainable community through education and participation in such programs. This promises not only to enhance the understanding of young minds but also to foster responsible consumption habits as they grow.
