Celebrating the Spirit of Showa: The 100-Year Festival Declaration

This year marks the centennial anniversary of the Showa era, providing a unique opportunity for people, organizations, and brands to come together in celebration. Known as the "Showa 100 Festival" (registered trademark), this initiative calls for collaboration under the rallying cry, "Join Us Here!". This invitation extends to corporations, associations, municipal bodies, and individuals eager to take part in commemorating a remarkable period in Japanese history.

As a focal point of this event, we are excited to announce three significant releases that embody the spirit of Showa.

Collaborations and Merchandise

The first release showcases collaborations with renowned companies, including Honda. During the recent Motorcycle Show held in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya, the festival featured a series of exclusive co-branded T-shirts with Honda, celebrating the rich history of motorcycle manufacturing in Japan. Due to overwhelming public demand, the T-shirts were sold out multiple times during the event. Now, these items are set to roll out on our official website, with plans for expansion to partner retailers.

Adding to the excitement, we’re unveiling two new T-shirt designs:
1. The Super Cub Chronicle: This design pays homage to the iconic Super Cub series, a model that debuted in 1958. With over 110 million units sold worldwide, the Super Cub is recognized as the most sold motorcycle by Guinness World Records. The T-shirt will feature an array of six notable models, including the Final Edition 50cc model from last year, making it a fitting tribute for our 100th-year celebrations.

2. The Legend of CB: This second design features the legendary CB series, starting with the groundbreaking "DREAM CB750 FOUR" introduced in 1969. The CB brand represents Honda’s legacy in high-performance motorcycles and showcases six significant models, including the latest that stole the spotlight at this year's Motorcycle Show.

Moreover, we will be re-releasing the sought-after "History of HONDA WING Logo T-shirt", a design celebrating the evolution of Honda’s branding since 1948, featuring the iconic wing mark that symbolizes Honda's ambition to soar globally.

All items will carry the limited edition Showa-era branding to commemorate this centennial milestone, making them collector’s items.

Supporting Local Entrepreneurs with Official Goods

In another exciting announcement, the Showa 100 Festival has partnered with Sendo Co., Ltd., a Fukuoka-based company. They offer an official merchandise eCommerce platform titled "Official Goods-Style" that allows organizations to sell custom merchandise without the burdens of inventory management, order fulfillment, or shipping costs.

This service, specifically designed for entities like the Showa 100 Festival, allows supporters to create and sell goods featuring custom designs alongside the festival's branding. Notably, organizations will not incur the initial registration fee of 250,000 yen or the regular monthly fee of 50,000 yen, as these have been significantly reduced to support participation.

Key Features:

  • - No Inventory: Merchants can sell products without holding stock, minimizing financial risk.
  • - No Fulfillment Hassle: All production and shipping are managed seamlessly by the service provider.
  • - Customizable Merchandise: Supporters can tailor products to their personal taste while retaining brand integrity.
  • - Unique Domain Sites: Every partner enjoys their own branded eCommerce webpage, enhancing individual identity.

Participants in this initiative can discover more about the offering and take their first steps towards entrepreneurship and fan engagement.

Become a Personal Supporter

In our third release, we invite individuals to become personal supporters of the Showa 100 Festival. By registering on our site, you will receive a business card featuring the festival's official logo. This card not only symbolizes your support but also serves as a ticket to connect with other supporters.

We encourage participants to select a role from departments like planning, public relations, or as an ambassador. The ultimate goal is to foster a community where individuals can engage and reconnect through various online and offline events ultimately celebrating and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Showa.

Looking ahead, we aim to establish a dedicated Facebook community for supporters and create opportunities for real-world interactions. Through these connections, we can collectively contribute to nurturing the emotional culture that Japan embodies.

Join us in commemorating this significant milestone with creativity, connections, and celebration as we embark on this journey together under the spirit of Showa.
