Meiko Career Partners: Supporting Foreign Workers in Fukui
In an effort to bolster workforce stability for foreign workers in Japan, Meiko Career Partners, a subsidiary of Meiko Network Japan located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has been selected by Fukui Prefecture to implement the "Fiscal Year 7 Fukui Foreign Human Resources Workplace Stabilization Support Project." This initiative aims to enhance workplace integration for foreign employees and assist local companies in securing talent amidst a persistently high job vacancy rate in Fukui.
Project Overview
The Fukui Foreign Human Resources Workplace Stabilization Support Project addresses the urgent need for companies in the region to attract and retain skilled foreign workers. Given the ongoing challenge of finding adequate talent in Fukui, the project facilitates various training programs designed to create a welcoming and effective workplace environment for foreign employees.
Example Training Programs
The curriculum includes a range of focused training sessions, such as:
- - Business Etiquette for Foreign Workers
- - Cross-Cultural Communication
- - Intermediate and Advanced Business Japanese Courses
- - Cross-Cultural Understanding for Host Companies
- - Access to Japanese learning tools like "Japany" for self-study during the training period.
Format and Support Structure
The training allows for both in-person and online formats, with the content customized according to the specific needs of each participating company. Seasoned Japanese language instructors are available to cater to all proficiency levels, from beginner to advanced. After the training sessions, follow-up measures will be implemented, including reports and proposals for improvement based on surveys.
A help desk and brochures will also be provided to ensure convenience for participants.
