Fashion Week at The Bellevue Collection Celebrates 20 Years of Community and Style

The Exciting Return of Fashion Week at The Bellevue Collection

Fashion Week at The Bellevue Collection is set to return with renewed vigor on September 26 and 27, marking two decades of style, innovation, and community engagement. This landmark event not only showcases the latest trends but also emphasizes the importance of giving back to the community.

Showcasing Local Talent

This year's celebration will include the innovative New Next Student Designer Showcase, which aims to highlight emerging talent from Washington's design programs. Selected students from institutions like Central Washington University, Seattle Central College, Seattle Pacific University, and Washington State University will present their original designs on the runway. Each designer has created two unique looks that reflect their personal vision and creativity.

Jennifer Leavitt, Senior Vice President of Marketing for The Bellevue Collection, stated, “As we mark 20 incredible years of Fashion Week, we are focused on looking forward. The launch of New Next is about investing in the future of fashion and providing these talented students with a platform.” The student designs will not only be featured on the runway but also in installations around Bellevue Square from September 29 to October 9.

Event Details

The exciting lineup for Fashion Week includes two major runway shows:
  • - The Trend Takeover Runway Show will kick things off on the evening of September 26 at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue. This event promises an energetic display of the latest fall trends, paired with a vibrant atmosphere featuring music, food, and engaging guest experiences. Ticket prices start at $100, with all proceeds benefiting Sports In Schools, a nonprofit dedicated to improving youth sports access in the community.
  • - On September 27, the Collective Runway Show will take place, showcasing top brands alongside the student designers' creations. This event will provide guests with food, drinks, and valuable gifts, with ticket proceeds benefiting WWIN, a nonprofit focused on empowering women through education.

The total funds raised over 20 years from the Fashion Week initiative have surpassed a remarkable $1.4 million, contributing to various local charitable organizations through ticket sales. This year, 100% of ticket sales will directly support Sports In Schools and WWIN.

About the Beneficiaries

WWIN has been empowering women in Washington for decades by offering scholarships and resources that help them overcome barriers to education and career advancement. Since its inception, it has provided over $21 million in grants aimed at helping women build better lives not just for themselves but also for their families and communities.

Sports In Schools focuses on providing under-resourced youth in the Pacific Northwest with access to school-sponsored sports programs. The organization believes that participation in athletics fosters personal growth, health, and community engagement among students, helping youth thrive on and off the field.
