New Era of Entertainment with ColorSing and BUMP
The collaboration between ColorSing Co., Ltd., based in Shibuya, Tokyo, and emole Inc., the operator of the short drama app BUMP, marks a transformative moment in the entertainment landscape. Both companies aim to enhance their offerings and engage audiences through innovative content creation that leverages social media. As of September 24, the first joint project will introduce the theme song for the short drama "Rounge Lady's Regular Customer," performed by ColorSing's singer Mai. The decision to select Mai was influenced by her exceptional vocal ability and unique timbre, aligning well with the essence of the drama.
Background of the Collaboration
Emole envisions a world where creative endeavors can thrive, establishing itself as a leader in the short drama sector in Japan. With great focus on script, visuals, and music, the production of quality dramas requires substantial resources, especially to discover the ideal singers who can elevate a show's theme song. In response, this collaboration with ColorSing was formed to simplify the sourcing process. By recruiting singers within the ColorSing app, the drama production team can now directly evaluate and select artists, relieving the production burden while still achieving theme songs that resonate with the essence of their works. Furthermore, utilizing theme songs for social media posts—wherein clips from the drama are overlaid with music—enhances the drama's thematic communication, paving the way for increased viewership through social media buzz.
On the flip side, ColorSing is heavily invested in providing opportunities for L-singers to realize their dreams through music. Their past successes include performances at major music festivals and the distribution of original songs. This partnership not only allows L-singers to enter the realm of theme song performance for dramas but also simultaneously meets the needs of both organizations.
