Pasona's Initiative to Support Foreign Student Internships in Osaka
Pasona, a Tokyo-based company led by President Shintaro Nakao, is proud to announce its partnership with Osaka Prefecture for the "TRY in OSAKA" initiative, aimed at supporting internships for international students. The program includes the upcoming "Internship Fair" scheduled for July 12 at Umeda Sky Building in Osaka, which will connect foreign students with local businesses.
The increasing demand for foreign talent in Japan's workforce has prompted numerous companies to consider hiring international students. However, many organizations face challenges in welcoming foreign interns due to a lack of experience and knowledge in facilitating the necessary processes like visa applications and creating a supportive work environment. The purpose of the "TRY in OSAKA" program is to assist Osaka-based companies in implementing internship programs, giving them practical experience in hiring foreign personnel. This initiative also aims to foster a better understanding of Japanese corporate culture among international students, therefore enhancing their chances for permanent employment in Japan.
The upcoming Internship Fair will feature opportunities for foreign students to engage with local companies that are eager to hire international interns. The event will not only showcase various Japanese companies but will also include seminars aimed at explaining the unique characteristics of working in Japan. These seminars will provide essential information on how to find suitable employment opportunities and prepare for the Japanese workplace environment.
