Designing Your Lunacity

Participants will engage with 21 different types of Moon City Cards, enabling them to select and design a personalized moon city. The cards represent essential infrastructure like homes, energy production sites, research facilities, and exploration rovers. Once their unique designs are created, participants will experience their virtual moon city with VR goggles, providing an immersive sensation of being on the lunar surface. This innovative approach emphasizes fun and learning while seamlessly incorporating essential elements of living, infrastructure, and exploration.

The Purpose Behind the Content

As space exploration advances, the reality of human life on the moon is becoming more conceivable. This workshop aims to spark curiosity in children regarding what it means to live on the moon, stimulating their creativity and allowing them to visualize the future. It serves as both an educational experience and a creative outlet, encouraging children to explore fundamental concepts such as habitation, energy resources, and transportation.

By constructing their version of Lunacity, children will not only enjoy the creative process but also acquire valuable knowledge about how a moon city might operate. The integration of a VR experience enhances their learning, elevating it beyond mere imagination into a fully immersive future simulation.
