Exploring the Future of HR Practices: Insights from the Rental Transfer Experience Event

On October 6, 2025, Trustyyle Co., based in Chuo, Tokyo, organized a face-to-face event titled "Sharing Experiences of Rental Transfers in HR! How HR Becomes More Interesting Through Cross-Border Opportunities Between Startups and Major Corporations" under the community name HR Library. This innovative event aimed to explore the evolving role of HR in organizations and the benefits of cross-border initiatives.

Background and Purpose of the Event

In the past few years, HR has transitioned beyond traditional administrative duties, now also focusing on organizational transformation and the creation of new value. However, operating strictly within corporate boundaries hampers the exposure to diverse perspectives and experiences, which are essential in today’s dynamic work environment. One initiative that has gained traction in addressing this challenge is the concept of "cross-border" learning, which encourages HR professionals to venture outside their organizations.

This event highlighted two distinct approaches to cross-border experiences: "Rental Transfers" (full-time transfers for a predetermined duration of 6 to 12 months to a startup) and "Side Projects" (part-time participation in a startup using a portion of available working hours). By inviting HR representatives with firsthand experience in these approaches, the event provided a platform for discussing the new roles and possibilities for HR.
