On February 21, 2026, Choice Hotels Japan will hold an exciting multicultural exchange event titled "Connecting the World: A Day of Multicultural Experience! Let's Set Off on an Adventure to Explore the Fun of the Globe!" This special event is designed specifically for elementary school children, providing an interactive experience that fosters an understanding of global diversity and social responsibility.

The event, part of the firm’s commitment to community engagement, will welcome 20 lucky children from its official membership program, the Choice Guest Club(TM), who will participate free of charge. As they navigate various booths, young attendees will experience the feeling of traveling across different countries without ever leaving Tokyo.

Interactive Cultural Experiences

The main attraction of the event is its array of booths that offer engaging activities that represent various cultures. High school students with roots in other countries will lead these booths, sharing their cultural heritage through games and activities crafted specifically for younger participants. Children will enjoy direct interaction with these young leaders, learning about the richness of diverse cultures and developing global perspectives.

For instance, one of the featured activities will be the Filipino game "Pabitin," commonly played during festivals and birthday parties. Children will have the chance to jump and reach for prizes suspended from a frame crafted from bamboo and rods, simulating the thrill of a real-life celebration in the Philippines.

Other activities will include:

• - Philippines: Traditional hand games (like Nanay and Tatay)
• - Philippines: Pabitin (a fun party game for kids)
• - Nepal: Chungi (a playful game akin to juggling)
• - China: Da Dan Zhu (a game involving marbles that kids can flick and hit)

A Commitment to Social Responsibility

Choice Hotels Japan, which operates Comfort Hotels, has a strong commitment to social contribution under the motto, “Revitalizing the World and Communities through Travel.” The Choice Guest Club(TM), their official membership program, donates 0.5% of accommodation fees annually to three organizations focused on social challenges. This initiative is aimed at giving guests a tangible sense of their contribution to society while combining their travel experiences with community support.

This event marks the second occurrence of the multicultural experience. Through collaboration with certified non-profit organization "Katariba," high school students will help guide younger children to appreciate the world's vastness and diversity.
