A Unique Fusion of Rock Spirit and Craftsmanship in S.T. Dupont × Fender Collection

S.T. Dupont × Fender Collaboration

S.T. Dupont, the prestigious French luxury brand, and Fender, the iconic guitar manufacturer, have joined forces once again in an exceptional collaboration collection. This partnership showcases a melding of both brands' craftsmanship alongside the rich cultural heritage of Japan, radiating a rock-inspired essence. The collection features a limited edition electric guitar, the 'Made in Japan Limited S.T. Dupont Stratocaster®,' along with various lifestyle products such as lighters, pens, accessories, and leather goods.

The Blending of Japanese Aesthetics and Rock

Inspired by the beauty of guitar curves and the strings of musical instruments, this collection has been designed with music lovers and electric guitar enthusiasts in mind. Each piece harmoniously incorporates elements from legendary Fender models like the Stratocaster and Mustang, intertwined with the traditional Japanese art of Kintsugi. Kintsugi, the practice of repairing pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, celebrates imperfections, transforming them into elegance. This philosophy resonates perfectly with S.T. Dupont’s own technique of gold detailing.

An Ode to Traditional Craftsmanship

Delving into the principles of craftsmanship inherited by S.T. Dupont, this collection serves as a tribute to Japanese artisanship, where skilled hands breathe life into each product. The spirits of musical legends are captured and celebrated in S.T. Dupont × Fender’s premium offerings. Edward “Bud” Cole, President of Fender Music, articulates, "This collaboration honors the power of craftsmanship, design, and music. It seamlessly intertwines artistry, aesthetic sensibility, and a passion for rock, culminating in a uniquely distinctive collection."

He expands on the guitar, saying, "The 'Made in Japan Limited S.T. Dupont Stratocaster®' is not just an instrument; it's an art piece embodying the finesse of Japanese craftsmanship and a deep-rooted appreciation for beauty in Japanese culture. We are honored to again partner with S.T. Dupont, delivering this special guitar to players and collectors who appreciate both tone and tradition."

Dialogue between Rock and Sophistication

Alan Clervaux, CEO of S.T. Dupont, shares his insights: "This collaboration aims to create a unique dialogue between the iconic worlds of rock and refinement. Each item exemplifies remarkable craftsmanship and bold design, embodying what both our brands stand for. The Ligne 2 lighters and Line D Eternity pens reinterpret Fender's iconic guitar lines, featuring a new guilloche pattern inspired by Kintsugi, which honors the beauty of imperfection."

Exclusive Electric Guitar

Scheduled for order starting June 13th, the 'Made in Japan Limited S.T. Dupont Stratocaster®' is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, reflecting both S.T. Dupont's luxury appeal and refined design. The guitar features a gold sparkle finish applied by skilled artisans across its body and a unique internal structure that accommodates an Ligne 2 lighter within the body beneath the pickguard. This guitar also showcases a tremolo arm cap modeled after the distinctive Guilloche pattern.

The body is made from alder wood, while the neck, crafted from maple, includes an ebony fingerboard adorned with special inlays that maintain the luxurious aesthetic. Equipped with custom S.T. Dupont humbucking pickups, this model showcases both exceptional sound quality and a stunning visual appeal. Each guitar is sold with a black tweed hard case and an original certificate of authenticity.

Lifestyle Collection Launch

In addition to the Stratocaster, the lifestyle products influenced by rock spirit and craftsmanship will be available from June 21, 2025, at all S.T. Dupont direct stores and the official online store, with some exclusive products available only at the Ginza flagship store.

Celebrate the Legends of Guitar

The collection pays tribute to guitar heroes through the exquisite design of the Ligne 2 lighters and Line D Eternity writing instruments, featuring designs inspired by musical elements such as guitar bodies, strings, and necks. The pen clip resembles a guitar bridge, while the new guilloche pattern echoes the cracks of Kintsugi on features like the ashtray and cigar cutter. Each lighter and pen comes adorned with a chrome-finished pick-shaped necklace, further enhancing the collection’s rock essence.

A Unique Intersection of Music and Craft

This collection merges traditional craftsmanship with musical artistry, embodying a symbiosis of creativity, identity, and tradition. The products, inspired by Fender’s iconic tweed fabric used in guitar cases, showcase a grey canvas leather collection that includes lighters, pens, and a variety of leather goods with the Stratocaster silhouette elegantly showcased. The collaboration between S.T. Dupont and Fender captures the essence of craftsmanship, individuality, and rock spirit, offering a truly unique experience.
