Tetsuya Yamano Joins Project Motor Racing's Factory Driver Program

Tetsuya Yamano to Participate in Project Motor Racing's Factory Driver Program

The world of racing simulation just got more exciting! Tetsuya Yamano, a celebrated racing driver, has officially joined the Factory Driver Program for the anticipated game, Project Motor Racing. This program aims to bring virtual racing closer to reality by incorporating feedback from professional and top sim racers.

Project Motor Racing Overview

Project Motor Racing, published by SEGA, is set to release on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms (available on Steam and the Epic Games Store) on November 25, 2025. The game focuses on delivering a highly realistic racing experience, leveraging feedback from real drivers like Yamano and elite sim racers through the Factory Driver Program.

The Factory Driver Program Explained

To continuously fine-tune the game mechanics, the Factory Driver Program allows selected drivers to engage in a series of crucial evaluations. Participants are tasked with answering approximately 40 questions across five categories: vehicle setup, realism, speed exploration, endurance racing, and track dynamics. The insights gathered from these responses are analyzed via sophisticated algorithms to improve the simulation's accuracy and responsiveness.

Moreover, drivers can communicate directly with developers and fellow participants on an online forum, reinforcing a collaborative effort to create the ultimate racing simulator. SEGA is currently seeking professional and amateur drivers as well as sim racers to join this program, with further details available on the official Project Motor Racing website.

Note: The program will be conducted in English, and not all applicants may be selected for participation. We appreciate your understanding.
