Promoting Workplace Well-being through Disability Employment and Health Management
On June 25, 2025, KindAgent Corporation, headquartered in Tokyo and led by Ryo Suke Chihara, announced the launch of a new initiative designed to simultaneously advance disability employment and health management. This innovative service, named "Massage Room Opening Consulting," focuses on employing visually impaired licensed professionals, such as national certified massage therapists, known as "Health Keepers," within companies. Through the establishment and operation of massage rooms, this initiative aims to address two significant challenges: promoting the employment of people with disabilities and enhancing employee well-being.
Background and Societal Needs
Starting from July 2026, companies in Japan will face an increased obligation, with the disability employment rate rising to 2.7%. Coupled with the growing incidence of mental health issues and the increasing complexity of work tasks, there is an urgent need for companies to create adequate roles for individuals with disabilities.
