Morbid Metal Makes Waves at Tokyo Game Show 2025
Ubisoft has officially announced that its upcoming title,
Morbid Metal, will be showcased at the
Tokyo Game Show 2025 (TGS 2025). The game, set to launch in early access soon on Steam, is an action-packed rogue-lite that immerses players in a post-apocalyptic world where nature and machinery coexist. Players will face enemy troops and powerful bosses, battling through a rich, atmospheric environment.
One of the exciting features of Morbid Metal is the ability to seamlessly switch between multiple characters during gameplay. Each character brings unique abilities to the table, allowing players to execute powerful combos against their foes. Victory fuels progress, while defeat opens the door for new challenges, creating a dynamic and engaging gameplay loop.
At TGS 2025, visitors to the
Morbid Metal booth will have the chance to try out the Japanese localization of the game. Additionally, fans can pose with a gigantic sword from the game at a dedicated photo spot, making for incredible social media moments. Participants in the demo or photo opportunity will be entered into a raffle for the chance to win fabulous prizes, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.
The producer of Morbid Metal,
Felix Schade, who is also the founder of the indie development studio
Screen Juice, will be making his first visit to Japan for the event. “I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who visited our booth at Gamescom. It was truly a pleasure to meet so many fans and members of the community. I’m incredibly excited for the next destination, TGS in Tokyo. Japan has had a profound impact on my work, and I can’t wait to meet the Japanese community and everyone attending the Tokyo Game Show,” he shared.
To showcase the artistic vision behind the game, a new key visual created by Japanese illustrator
Kaeru DX has also been revealed. This artwork will be on display at the TGS 2025
Morbid Metal booth, and fans are encouraged to come by and check it out. Kaeru DX is well-known for their illustration work in trading cards and merchandise, with expertise in creatures, mechs, and female characters.
