SI Group Welcomes Marcello Boldrini as New CEO Following David Bradley's Tenure

SI Group Welcomes Marcello Boldrini as CEO

In a significant leadership transition, SI Group, renowned for its innovative advancements in performance additives and chemical solutions, has appointed Marcello Boldrini as its new Chief Executive Officer effective October 19, 2026. This change follows the successful tenure of David Bradley, who helmed the organization since 2019.

Making the announcement, Daryl Roberts, a member of the SI Group Board of Directors, expressed optimism about Boldrini's appointment. He emphasized that Boldrini's substantial experience and proven track record in the global specialty chemicals landscape will contribute positively to the company's ongoing growth and operational enhancement initiatives.

A Seasoned Leader Transitioning Roles

Marcello Boldrini brings over 30 years of leadership experience from various sectors of the specialty chemicals and materials industry, with a remarkable career spanning across Europe, Asia, and North America. Before joining SI Group, he served as the CEO and Director of Kraton Corporation, a Houston-based global specialty chemicals firm. His effective growth strategies there led to the establishment of a Transformation Office, which successfully generated over $100 million in annual EBITDA improvements.

Boldrini's prior leadership roles at Houghton International, Momentive/Hexion, and Ashland further underscore his capability. Now settled in the Houston area, he will operate out of SI Group's headquarters located in The Woodlands, Texas.

Marcello's Vision for the Future

Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Boldrini mentioned, "I am honored to join SI Group as CEO and look forward to working closely with our dedicated employees, partners, and customers. My immediate focus will be on listening and learning. I aim to spend quality time with our teams and learning about our customers' needs as we work together to build upon SI Group's strengths."

Aiming to ensure disciplined execution and value delivery for customers, Boldrini emphasized that safety and reliable operations would remain central to SI Group's mission moving forward.

Acknowledging David Bradley's Legacy

The board of directors also conveyed their gratitude towards David Bradley for his significant contributions during his presidency. According to Shawn Abrams, another board member, “David led SI Group through a period of considerable transformation and challenges within our industry. Under his leadership, we completed our 2025 recapitalization, which has resulted in a strengthened financial position for the company."

Bradley's tenure has left a notable imprint on SI Group, setting it up for future success. As operations continue, existing customers, suppliers, and partners are encouraged to maintain communications through their established SI Group contacts.
