On October 19, 2026, SI Group, a leading global player in the development and manufacturing of performance additives, processing solutions, and chemical intermediates, officially announced a significant leadership transition. Marcello Boldrini has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer, stepping into the role as David Bradley concludes his successful term.
Boldrini's arrival at SI Group signifies a new chapter for the company. With over three decades of leadership experience in the specialty chemicals industry, his extensive background spans across various global markets, including Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Prior to joining SI Group, he served as the CEO and director of Kraton Corporation, a global specialty chemicals firm based in Houston. During his tenure at Kraton, Boldrini was instrumental in spearheading various growth and transformation initiatives, notably the establishment of a transformation office that resulted in substantial annual EBITDA improvements exceeding $100 million.
Daryl Roberts, a board member of SI Group, expressed enthusiasm about Boldrini's appointment. "Marcello brings noteworthy industry expertise and a proven track record in driving growth and operational excellence. His insights will be invaluable as we strive to enhance our performance, better serve our customers, and execute on our strategic priorities,” he stated.
In his new role, Boldrini will be based at the corporate headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas, and is looking forward to engaging with employees, clients, and partners. "I am honored to be joining SI Group as CEO and am eager to collaborate with our teams and clients,” said Boldrini. He emphasized the importance of listening and learning in the initial stages of his leadership. By dedicating time to connect with employees and clientele, Boldrini aims to leverage SI Group’s strengths and establish clear priorities moving forward. He reaffirmed the commitment to maintaining safe and reliable operations while ensuring rigorous execution and creating value for customers.
SI Group’s existing leadership team will support Boldrini in emphasizing safety, operational performance, and customer commitments. Clients, suppliers, and partners are encouraged to continue their relations through their established contacts within the company.
Shawn Abrams, another board member, acknowledged the contributions of David Bradley, thanking him for his leadership through challenging times and significant organizational changes during his tenure. Under Bradley's guidance, SI Group successfully completed its 2025 recapitalization, enhancing its financial position and flexibility for future endeavors.
