MGM Resorts and BetMGM Enhance Responsible Gaming Awareness at NFL Stadiums

Las Vegas, August 29, 2025 – MGM Resorts International and BetMGM are proud to announce their continued partnership with the American Gaming Association (AGA) as they prepare to promote Responsible Gaming Education Month this September. For the third year running, GameSense® messaging will be visible at selected NFL stadiums, reaching millions of fans and emphasizing the importance of responsible gambling practices.

Starting this upcoming football season, attendees at nine key NFL venues will notice GameSense messages on LED ribbons and prominently displayed on stadium scoreboards. New this year is the introduction of Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles, into the roster of participating stadiums. Sporting events provide a unique opportunity to communicate vital responsible gaming strategies to a large audience, making this initiative a significant step forward in fostering a safe gambling environment.

Emphasizing Engagement at the Stadium

The stadiums participating in this initiative include:
  • - Acrisure Stadium (Pittsburgh Steelers)
  • - Allegiant Stadium (Las Vegas Raiders)
  • - Empower Field at Mile High (Denver Broncos)
  • - Ford Field (Detroit Lions)
  • - GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City Chiefs)
  • - Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia Eagles) new for 2025
  • - MT Bank Stadium (Baltimore Ravens)
  • - MetLife Stadium (New York Jets)
  • - Nissan Stadium (Tennessee Titans)

Rhea Loney, Chief Compliance Officer of BetMGM, stated, "Having GameSense displayed in league stadiums puts us in direct contact with millions of fans every week. This platform is essential for raising awareness about responsible gaming and solidifying our commitment to providing a safe gambling experience."

The Role of GameSense

The GameSense program, developed by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) and licensed to MGM Resorts since 2017, aims to promote positive interactions with guests regarding responsible gambling. This initiative has proven to be a crucial tool in fostering a transparent and proactive approach to sports betting, enhancing customer accountability and awareness.

As a part of this campaign, BetMGM will execute various outreach strategies, including messaging displayed through digital platforms, retail sportsbooks, and physical venues like the MGM Grand Live Dealer studio. Fans will encounter reminders to "take a time-out" and "budget before you bet," complemented by QR codes leading to valuable resources on responsible gaming.

Training and Certification

Moreover, over 1,900 employees have been certified as GameSense Advisors, providing support and guidance to guests at BetMGM Sportsbooks nationwide. These advisors are a testament to MGM's commitment to substantive employee training and public assistance. Furthermore, BetMGM is continuing its collaboration with EPIC Global Solutions to enhance employee training with lived experiences, ensuring that staff are well-equipped to offer informed guidance.

Investment in Research

MGM Resorts is also announcing a $250,000 donation to the International Center for Responsible Gaming coinciding with RGEM 2025. This contribution will back independent research focused on creating better protective strategies for casino employees and patrons alike. Stephen Martino, SVP and Chief Compliance Officer at MGM Resorts, remarked on the significance of combining training with scientific research to elevate operational standards and enhance guest experiences in a competitive landscape.

Conclusion
The combined efforts of MGM Resorts and BetMGM are certainly setting a strong example of responsible gaming practices within the sports gambling industry. Their involvement underscores the value of collaboration in promoting responsible gaming, a mission that not only enhances player protection but also contributes positively to the community. This initiative is not just about responsible gambling; it serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility shared by operators and patrons alike in maintaining a safe, enjoyable gambling environment.
