FANCL, AEON Ryukyu, and Kirin Beverage Promote Child Support Campaign in Okinawa

Collaborative Campaign to Support Okinawa's Children

FANCL Corporation, along with Kirin Beverage Corporation and AEON Ryukyu, has launched a charitable initiative titled the "Buy, Eat, Drink for Health - Support Children's Dining Campaign". This campaign aims to support local children in Okinawa by donating part of the sales from selected beverages to the Okinawa Children's Future Lunch Support initiative. The campaign runs from May 12 to June 30, 2025.

This campaign is the second of its kind, following the first round held in February 2024. The beverage donation ceremony took place on August 15 at the Naha Higashimachi Post Office, gathering representatives from FANCL, AEON Ryukyu, Kirin Beverage, and the Okinawa Children's Future Lunch Support initiative. The purpose of the campaign is to foster collaboration among participating organizations to secure a brighter future for the children of Okinawa.

These three companies, as partners in the Okinawa SDGs program, are dedicated to promoting activities that create a better environment for the children of the region. Their shared vision of supporting Okinawa's youth drives this collaborative effort. Through the campaign and other community engagement initiatives, the companies aim to actively contribute to building a promising future for local children.

What is the Okinawa Children's Future Lunch Support?

The Okinawa Children's Future Lunch Support is a program that collects food donations from businesses and citizens within Okinawa to distribute to children's dining facilities and safe spaces for children. This initiative ensures that necessary food supplies reach children in need, thereby supporting their well-being and nutrition. For more details, supporters can refer to their official website: Okinawa Children's Future Lunch Support.

The Okinawa SDGs Partners program includes businesses and organizations that have committed to promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the prefecture. Registered companies pass through a selection process to ensure their dedication towards working for the objectives of the SDGs while also focusing on raising awareness among the residents of Okinawa.

As the need for support grows, FANCL, AEON Ryukyu, and Kirin Beverage are committed to expanding their outreach and community contributions. Their plans involve not just periodic campaigns but also continuous efforts to create sustainable and impactful projects aimed at enhancing children’s quality of life. Activities may also include workshops, educational programs, and community-awareness events that align with the goals of the SDGs, emphasizing health, education, and environment.

These combined efforts underscore the importance of corporate social responsibility and the role that local businesses can play in uplifting communities, especially vulnerable groups like children. By joining forces, these companies illustrate the effectiveness of collective action in addressing social issues. The initiative serves as an encouragement for more organizations to engage in similar partnerships to foster lasting change and support for the future generations of Okinawa.

This campaign stands as a key example of how the private sector can lead impactful changes by supporting community goals. As it progresses, the organizers aim to inspire more collective initiatives that contribute to social betterment and sustainable practices in the region.
