Conrad Tokyo Launches Exclusive Wine to Celebrate 20th Anniversary

A Milestone Celebration: Conrad Tokyo's 20th Anniversary Wine

As Conrad Tokyo reaches a significant milestone in its journey, it proudly presents an exclusive original blend wine to commemorate its 20th anniversary. Starting from September 1, guests can savor this unique vintage at the hotel’s restaurants, with plans for room service availability soon to follow.

In collaboration with Maruki Winery, Japan's oldest winery established in 1891, the hotel has created a special 2005 vintage blend that embodies the theme of 'Revisiting the Old and Embracing the New.' This original wine melds the essences of Muscat Bailey A, foundational to the 2005 vintage, with a hint of Kaji Noir from Yamanashi, bringing a balanced 2% blend. The result is a complex flavor profile that reflects a depth and elegance developed over two decades, characterized by fresh fruit notes and a mineral nuance—perfectly aligning Japanese sensibilities with a universally appealing taste.

To enhance the dining experience, the wine will be paired with meticulously crafted dishes by a team of world-renowned sommeliers led by Miyuki Morimoto. Guests can indulge in culinary combinations that elevate the tasting experience:

  • - Grilled Wagyu Beef - Japanese Cuisine 'Kazahana'
A classic pairing where the rich, tender texture of wagyu meets the smooth, well-aged wine, highlighting both flavors beautifully.

  • - Ibaraki Prefectural Platinum Pork Pâté Salad with 25-Year Aged Balsamic - Modern French 'Collage'
The wine’s flavor profile, reminiscent of dried figs and cherry liqueur, complements the refined sweetness of the pork's rich fat, making it a signature dish at 'Collage.'

  • - Peking Duck with a Twist - Chinese Cuisine 'China Blue'
The chewy skin of the duck and mildly crispy fried yuba enhance the wine's smooth tannins, creating a memorable dish that highlights the depth of the flavors.
