This exciting event will showcase more than 70 varieties of regional ice creams from 17 different prefectures across Japan, making it a must-visit for ice cream lovers.

A Journey through Japan’s Ice Cream Flavors

This year's festival brings an incredible lineup of ice cream flavors that have been loved for generations. Guests can indulge in the rich and creamy Ice Durian from Akita, a nostalgic treat that has been crafted using the same recipe for nearly 80 years. The city of Yokote, where the ice cream originates, has long celebrated this outdoor favorite, evoking sweet memories in every scoop.

Another highlight at the festival is the Apple Sorbet from Fukushima, first produced in 1981. Featuring fresh red apples from Tohoku, this sorbet offers a delightful balance of tartness and sweetness, perfect for both young and old.

You can't miss the renowned Marga Gelato from Ishikawa, which aims to create a world-class Japanese brand. Their award-winning creations include the rich Pistachio Sorbet and the tropical Alfonso Mango flavor, which brings the enchanting taste of summer to your palate.

And let's not forget the Ice Manju from Mie prefecture—an ice cream delicacy that combines the traditional Japanese sweet with a modern twist, having been a staple since the 1920s.

Beyond the fantastic ice creams, the event will also host the Nasushiobara Mini Marche on August 1st and 2nd. Visitors can purchase local produce, including fresh milk from Nasushiobara City, known for its high-quality dairy farming. These products will be available in limited quantities and will be delivered via the innovative Hakobyun service operated by JR East.

Moreover, on August 22nd and 23rd, the Takanawa Yokohama event will take place. This lively gathering will feature nostalgic games like shooting galleries and candy shops, along with food from delightful food trucks.
