On April 26, 2025, ChangAn Automobile held a grand presentation at the Auto Shanghai 2025, encapsulating its commitment to low-carbon technologies and innovative mobility solutions under the theme "Together for a Smarter World." The event attracted nearly 600 domestic and international media representatives alongside more than 500 global partners, establishing a platform to collaborate on a shared future vision.
During the opening day, ChangAn conducted several press conferences and briefings, showcasing vehicles from its three core brands: CHANG-AN, DEEPAL, and AVATR. Each brand highlighted its unique strengths and contributions to the automotive landscape. Notably, the CHANG-AN brand unveiled the Q07 model, designed for comfort and ease of use, while DEEPAL introduced the full-size SUV S09 targeting a younger audience. Meanwhile, the AVATR 06 drew significant attention as it aims to redefine luxury electric vehicles through advanced design and driver-assist technology, intended to intuitively understand the driver’s needs.
Media representatives were given the opportunity to participate in interactive demonstrations, such as experiencing a ride in the CHANG-AN E07, equipped with a smart TH chassis, featuring synchronized movements of foliage and snow accompanied by music. These displays underscored ChangAn's cutting-edge digital platform SDA (Software Defined Approach) and advancements in intelligent perception technology. Participants also interacted with robotic dogs and humanoid robots, showcasing the company's impressive breakthroughs in intelligent technology and multi-scenario applications.
Additionally, ChangAn presented its intelligent systems, including the TS smart drive system, TY smart cockpit, and BlueCore 3.0, elevating its intelligent capabilities to new heights.
Zhu Huarong, Chairman of ChangAn Automobile, reported during his conference speech that global sales grew by 34.2% in 2024, reaching 2.684 million vehicles, which included 735,000 units of new energy vehicles and 536,000 units sold internationally. Executive Vice President Li Mingcai highlighted key milestones, including the launch of ChangAn's first international NEV (New Energy Vehicle) production base in Thailand, and establishing eight overseas manufacturing partnerships, resulting in a capacity of 580,000 units.
In 2024, ChangAn ranked as one of the top three Chinese automobile exporters, with over 500,000 vehicles sold overseas and revenue surpassing $11 billion. The brand has expanded its reach to 20 new countries, now serving over a hundred with 1,150 sales channels globally. "This year, we will finalize the establishment of subsidiaries in the Middle East, Australia, and the United Kingdom, while accelerating our operations in high-potential markets such as Europe, Brazil, Australia, and Indonesia. By 2025, we aim to have 10 regional business entities in place," shared Mr. Li.
ChangAn is deeply committed to becoming a world-class brand that emphasizes technological innovation. Executive Vice President Wang Xiaofei noted that the company invested over 40 billion yuan in the past decade into three major areas of new energy. In the coming decade, ChangAn plans to invest more than 200 billion yuan into future automotive technologies, expanding its R&D team by 10,000 staff, and developing intelligent automotive robots and flying vehicles, with test flights expected by year's end.
Moreover, ChangAn is dedicated to high-quality development while embedding sustainability into its strategy and operations. In April 2025, it published its ESG Report for 2024, highlighting its progress in green ecosystems, products and services, and community-level partnerships. ChangAn sold 735,000 new energy vehicles in 2024, reducing carbon emissions by 5.5 million tons throughout their lifecycle, equivalent to planting 10,000 hectares of trees. This development contributes to a new low-carbon ecosystem through green transformation.
