Exploring Craftsmanship in the AI Era: A Webinar on Creative Communication

Discovering the Essence of Handcrafted Creativity in the Age of AI

On November 20, 2025, Amana Co., Ltd., a leading creative communication company headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo, will be hosting a riveting online seminar titled, "Illuminating Handcrafted Skills and Thought in the AI Era: What is the Essence of Human Communication?" This event will dive deep into the intrinsic value that arises from human creativity in light of rapid advancements in digital technology and generative AI.

As we explore these significant shifts, it begs the question—what remains of the value in craftsmanship and human expression?

Meet the Speakers

This compelling webinar will feature Amana's own creative talent, Takeru Murata and Kazuyo Maruoka, both integral members of the EVOKE creative team. Their backgrounds in retouching and visual arts provide a unique perspective as they share insights on how their analog-inspired skills contribute to contemporary expressions. Takeru, originally a retoucher, has transitioned into an artist, emphasizing the importance of human touch in visual storytelling. Meanwhile, Kazuyo, with a foundation in retouching and CG design, applies an aesthetic sensibility that enhances visual direction and workshop facilitation.

What both Takeru and Kazuyo have in common is their ability to innovate from the roots of retouching—what they refer to as the "origins of technique." This presentation will not just cover their personal journeys, but it will explore their thoughts on how value is created by human hands, especially in an era dominated by artificial intelligence. What new potentials arise because of AI, and what does that mean for the future of creativity? This exploration promises to provide insightful hints into the DNA of creative processes nurtured at Amana.

The host of the seminar will be Yuya Suzuki, an experienced producer at Amana. With a rich background in understanding creative values, Yuya will conduct a dialogue that delves into the connection between humanity and creativity, while also examining how to elevate the value of creators today.
