Norwegian Cruise Line Introduces Exciting Winter 2027/28 Itineraries With Exclusive Premium Offerings

Norwegian Cruise Line Unveils Winter 2027/28 Deployment

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), an industry pioneer with nearly six decades of redefining cruising, has unveiled its highly anticipated winter 2027/28 portfolio that promises sun-soaked adventures and culturally vibrant experiences across nearly 50 countries. Highlighting over 370 unique voyages, this season will run from September 2027 through April 2028, inviting travelers to explore diverse destinations ranging from the Caribbean and Asia to Australia and New Zealand.

A New Era of Exploration

The upcoming sailings will showcase an array of itineraries that range from two to an impressive 22 days on the ocean, providing guests with exceptional options for discovery. NCL's commitment to delivering immersive experiences is reflected in their itineraries, which will now include longer port stays averaging 9.5 hours, alongside 71 late departures and 70 overnight stays at select ports. This means travelers can fully immerse themselves in the local culture—something that makes NCL's offering distinctive.

Harry Sommer, the President and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., expressed excitement about the new season, stating, "We're thrilled to unveil our new immersive winter season, giving travelers the ultimate freedom to create their own adventure…with longer port stays, overnight calls, and our award-winning onboard experiences, guests can explore at their own pace."

Dual Homeports in San Juan

For the first time ever, NCL will homeport two of its luxurious Prima Class ships in San Juan, Puerto Rico. From mid-November 2027 to late April 2028, the Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva will operate unique week-long voyages to the Southern Caribbean, each offering its own distinct itineraries. This initiative aims to open new doors for cruisers looking for warm-weather escapes combined with cultural enrichment.

Enhanced Experiences at Great Stirrup Cay

NCL's private island in the Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay, continues to evolve. With exciting new expansions—including a state-of-the-art pier, an oversized heated swimming pool, and the Great Tides Waterpark—guests will find both relaxation and adventure seamlessly blended. This makes it a key stop on many itineraries, enhancing their leisure and entertainment options while on the islands.

Diverse Itineraries Departing from Florida

The Florida departures include a wide range of cruise choices, highlighting NCL's flexibility. From Miami, options such as Norwegian Joy®, Norwegian Jewel®, and Norwegian Luna™ provide a variety of destinations, including the Bahamas and the Panama Canal. Specialized shorter itineraries provide quick getaways, while longer journeys cater to families and vacation enthusiasts alike.

From Port Canaveral, Norwegian Aqua®, Norwegian Breakaway®, and Norwegian Epic® focus on Western Caribbean adventures, visiting exciting locales such as Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.

Unique Cultural Experiences in Asia and Oceania

For travelers looking for far-flung adventures, NCL has tailored voyages that visit remarkable ports in Asian and Oceanic waters. Norwegian Jade® will feature nine to 14-day itineraries departing from Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Each journey presents a chance to explore various cultural gems—guests will be treated to stops in captivating cities filled with rich history and local flavor.

Norwegian Spirit® returns to Australia and New Zealand for its fifth consecutive season, promising longer voyages that allow deeper exploration of these beautiful regions.

Return of Free at Sea Plus

Adding to the excitement is the revival of the Free at Sea Plus™ program, which allows guests to enjoy more conveniences for a modest fee of $49.99 per person per day. This includes unlimited Starbucks® drinks, premium beverages, Wi-Fi, and the exclusive perk of an open bar on the private island. These enhancements make it simpler for guests to manage their vacation logistics and focus on creating memories with loved ones.

Starting December 18, 2025, travelers can opt for the Free at Sea Plus option for sailings departing from February 1, 2026. This initiative underscores NCL’s commitment to providing unparalleled service and value for their guests while traveling the world.

With its award-winning fleet, diverse itinerary options, and tailored experiences, Norwegian Cruise Line continues to pave the way for modern cruise travel. Their dedication to delivering personal, world-class journeys keeps them at the forefront of the cruise industry, ensuring every sailing is a unique adventure.
