Taiwan's Tourism Workshop: A Gateway to 24/7 Adventures
On September 18, 2026, the Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA) concluded its U.S. workshop series in Los Angeles, bringing together close to 70 travel professionals from Southern California. This event, which served as the finale of a three-city tour following stops in New York and Chicago, connected Taiwanese travel agencies, hoteliers, and airlines with U.S. industry experts to discuss collaboration and innovative products.
In 2025, a record-breaking number of travelers from the United States—over 710,000—ventured to Taiwan, with nearly 60% visiting for tourism. This influx is attributed to the strong air connections available, including more than 200 weekly flights linking Taiwan to 13 major North American cities. Jason Ma, Director General of the Taiwan Mission in Los Angeles, shared, "Taiwan embodies a striking blend of tradition and modernity, and our ongoing objective is to strengthen tourism ties with the United States."
The workshop accentuated Taiwan’s unique “Never Sleep” theme, emphasizing its offerings from early morning markets to late-night food stalls. Attendees were introduced to fresh products designed for nighttime excursions and sunrises, showcasing how Taiwan has become a culture-rich destination that never seems to sleep. "We aspire to encourage travelers to linger longer, revisit, and discover new facets of Taiwan," stated Vivian Lin, Director of the LA Office of the TTA.
The event also revealed impressive statistics: repeat visitors constituted 42.25% of international arrivals in 2025, comparable to pre-pandemic levels of 2019. In a bid to entice repeat tourists even further, TTA will launch the
