CLO Summit Munich 2025: A Catalyst for 3D Fashion Innovation and Networking

CLO Summit Munich 2025: A Gathering of 3D Fashion Innovators

CLO Virtual Fashion, a front-runner in 3D garment visualization and design technology, has successfully held its biggest CLO Summit in Munich. This notable event drew participation from over 300 industry professionals, marking a significant moment in the evolution of 3D fashion design within Europe.

For the first time, the annual summit opened its doors not just to corporate clients but also to freelancers and university educators, creating a unique networking platform that celebrates talent across the continent. The event attracted representatives from over 100 renowned brands, including H&M, Marks & Spencer, adidas, BERSHKA, ZARA, and IKEA of Sweden. Esteemed educational institutions, such as the London College of Fashion and the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, were also in attendance, bringing along leading educators and 3D designers.

Held at the Bergson Kunstkraftwerk, a cutting-edge cultural hub in Munich, the summit featured engaging presentations from key figures in the industry. Among the presenters were Simon JH Kim, CEO of CLO, and Jaden Oh, the company's founder, who shared insights into CLO’s future direction, heavily influenced by its mature European user base.

"It was a pleasure to meet and discuss with so many users," said Jaden Oh during the summit. "Their feedback has reinforced our commitment to enhancing creative workflows for our users, making the entire process from design to production more intuitive. We aim to offer an even more enjoyable digitization journey."

The summit focused on presenting best practices and solutions for advancing 3D workflows, recognizing Europe as a key market for such developments. The goal was to provide scalable solutions to companies of all sizes, in collaboration with partners from CLO’s Ecosystem Partnership Program (EPP), including EnhanceThat and other industry leaders.

The expanded exhibition space showcased CLO’s solutions, featuring an automation and integration booth along with the new CLO zFab Kit designed to enhance 3D workflows. Partners such as HUMANETICS, DMIx, Epic Games, and Adobe Substance 3D also exhibited their innovations, underlining CLO's commitment to advancing digital garment design and production processes.

A highlight of the summit was the introduction of the "Rising Talent" award, aimed at bridging the gap between academia and the fashion industry. Students from 39 European schools showcased their work, leading to 78 nominations. The finalists received a year-long subscription to CLO to hone their 3D design skills and got included in CLO's New Talents database for industry networking. Two winners were recognized for excellence in conceptual and technical design, with each receiving a monetary prize.

Simon JH Kim emphasized the importance of user feedback in the company’s growth, stating, "Celebrating this community remains our priority, as they will guide us in the coming years. The summit is invaluable for users facing various business challenges, seeking essential insights from their peers. Through our CLO Summits, we strive to create an environment that fosters the exchange of ideas and the flourishing of new concepts. By extending our summits to include university and individual users, we aim to stimulate collaboration and innovation, creating powerful synergies among participants. Ultimately, our focus will always be on empowering users, ensuring that their voices and experiences take center stage."
