Limited Edition Cherry Blossom Sweets Collaboration Debuting February 2026

Special Limited Edition Cherry Blossom Sweets

Renowned Kyoto confectionery shops, Ryokujuan Shimizu, specializing in the exquisite art of Konpeito (sugar candy), and Tsuruya Yoshinobu, a traditional Wagashi producer, are joining forces to launch a remarkable new collaboration. Starting from February 28, 2026, a delightful set of cherry blossom-themed candies will be available for purchase. This special release includes handcrafted Konpeito from Ryokujuan Shimizu and the limited IRODORI brand's Sakura Kohakuto from Tsuruya Yoshinobu, thoughtfully packaged in a beautifully designed box.

In previous years, similar collaborations have seen immense popularity, selling out shortly after launch, making this year’s offering a highly anticipated event for sweets enthusiasts.

The Perfect Spring Gift

This collection is not just a treat; it encapsulates the delicate beauty of cherry blossoms, making it an ideal gift for the White Day celebrations or spring festivities. The collaboration stands as a testament to the artistry and tradition of Kyoto's confectionery culture.

Traditional Craftsmanship Meets Modern Flavors

Ryokujuan Shimizu

Founded in 1847, Ryokujuan Shimizu is the only shop in Kyoto dedicated to making Konpeito using traditional methods passed down through generations. With an emphasis on craftsmanship, it takes skilled artisans over 20 years to perfect the art of making this delicate candy. The artisans devote roughly two weeks to craft each type, resulting in uniquely flavored, beautiful, star-shaped treats. The confectionery aims to combine traditional styling and innovative flavors to delight contemporary palates.
