Building Bridges: The JENESYS Program
The JENESYS program, designed to promote understanding between Japan and various nations in the Asia-Pacific region, aims to deepen the knowledge and connections of young Vietnamese administrative and diplomatic officials. This exchange program, which will be held from October 21 to October 28, 2025, targets a select group of 12 young Vietnamese officials and diplomats, providing them with a unique opportunity to explore Japan's administrative systems, current challenges, and responses while establishing networks with their Japanese counterparts.
Objectives of the JENESYS Program
The overarching goal of the JENESYS program is to strengthen Japan-Vietnam ties by enhancing the understanding of Japan’s administrative frameworks and practices. The selected participants will have the chance to engage in various activities, including lectures, site visits, and cultural experiences that showcase Japan’s rich heritage and progressive governance.
In addition to administrative insights, an offshoot of the JENESYS program will focus specifically on agricultural practices. Three young Vietnamese agricultural officials will participate in a special program, which will allow them to witness and learn about sustainable resource management and agricultural technology in Japan. This initiative is aimed at contributing to the development of cooperative relations between Japan and Vietnam in the agricultural sector.
