Their mission extends beyond performances; they are dedicated to fostering vibrant community engagement through high-quality performing arts, while nurturing relationships within the arts and cultural community.

The Vision Behind Dancin’ Dancin’

In light of Japan's Cultural Arts Basic Law, there is a strong emphasis on creating a symbiotic society. To promote inclusive programming for those with disabilities, the Toshima Future Cultural Foundation collaborates with various organizations, including child support centers and departments of disability welfare. This cooperative effort ensures that the knowledge and understanding needed to facilitate this event stem from these partnerships.

The aim is to further deepen these relationships and expand networks with various community stakeholders, fostering collaborative connections. Through Dancin' Dancin', the children will gain confidence in their self-expression and develop a better understanding of others while fostering bonds and connections through their experiences in dance.

The event is also aligned with the Toshima Ward philosophy, which asserts that "everyone can be a star at any time," "everyone is connected," and "a town of encounters and smiles is what we aspire to be."

Conclusion

The workshop culminates in a showcase where the participating children will present the skills and expressions they've developed during the sessions. Dancin' Dancin' is an initiative designed not only to entertain but also to empower children through dance, allowing them to experience the joy of artistic collaboration and expression.
