Okayama University Recognizes Three Staff Members as Research Management Professionals to Enhance Research Environment

On February 9, 2026, Okayama University, located in Okayama City and led by President Yasuyuki Nasu, announced the certification of three of its staff members as "Okayama University Research Management Professionals." 3. Takanori Matsumoto, Senior Researcher in the Research Cooperation Division of the same department.

This certification is grounded in the "Regulations on the Certification of Research Management Personnel at Okayama University." The program aims to cultivate individuals who can proactively and actively engage in research management tasks. Since its inception, a total of five individuals have been certified under this program. The assessment process for certification includes obtaining the "Certified URA" credential from the Japan Research Administrator Certification Organization (URA Certification Organization). Candidates are evaluated against specific criteria using a points system based on various qualifications and achievements.
