Gaiax Collaborates with Fukuoka City
Introduction
Gaiax, a pioneering company in entrepreneurship training for students, has partnered with Fukuoka City to implement a week-long entrepreneurship program targeting middle and high school students. This initiative aims to instill entrepreneurial skills and mindsets among the youth, fostering a generation of future business leaders.
Purpose of the Program
The program serves as a platform for students to explore entrepreneurship as a viable means to pursue their dreams. It encourages them to engage with local entrepreneurs and investors, thereby creating a supportive ecosystem for budding entrepreneurs in Fukuoka.
Program Details
This year marks the second consecutive time Gaiax has collaborated with Fukuoka City to offer entrepreneurship training to middle and high school students, expanding the target demographic to high schoolers. The program revolves around ideation, prototype creation, and pitching ideas to startup stakeholders and investors in the city.
Program Overview
Participants will undertake a seven-day journey designed to nurture their entrepreneurial skills. The program structure includes various activities:
- - Day 1: Identify problems in their surroundings and prepare for interviews to validate their findings.
- - Day 2: Based on interview outcomes, participants will learn to develop business models that address the identified challenges.
- - Day 3: Participants will experience establishing a company and start creating prototypes.
- - Day 4: Mentoring sessions with local entrepreneurs and investors to refine their business ideas.
- - Day 5: Testing and receiving feedback on their prototypes and business models.
- - Day 6: A preliminary pitch where participants present their ideas.
- - Day 7: A final pitch in front of seasoned entrepreneurs and investors, receiving valuable feedback.
The program is free of charge; however, participants are responsible for their transportation costs. While the core of the program is face-to-face, online participation is an option for those facing transportation challenges, except on specific days when in-person participation is mandatory.
Target Audience
The program is particularly beneficial for students interested in:
- - Entrepreneurship and product/service development.
