Booost Hosts Special Sustainability Discussion Lecture
On May 14, 2025, Booost Inc. (based in Shinagawa, Tokyo) conducted a special internal lecture titled "Sustainability Discussion," inviting Yuichi Yamaji, Executive Director of the Sustainable Community Association, as the keynote speaker. Over the years, Booost has been committed to offering an integrated SX platform known as Sustainability ERP, aimed at accelerating companies' sustainability transformation (SX) by addressing the "Sustainability 2026 Challenge".
Overview of the Lecture
The lecture began with Mr. Yamaji sharing his extensive practical experience in non-financial information disclosure, governance, and materiality identification. He introduced the activities of the Sustainable Community that he has been managing, which currently has around 800 participants from various sectors. Identifying himself as an "information-disclosure specialist," Mr. Yamaji emphasized the critical link between information disclosure and management, highlighting the importance of this connection with robust examples from his previous work.
In the main segment titled "Exploring the Structure of the Sustainability Industry and Booost's Winning Strategies," Mr. Yamaji broke down the sustainability industry structure into three main layers: upstream (regulations and standards), midstream (implementation support), and downstream (evaluation, reporting, and improvement). He provided a comprehensive overview of the key players in both domestic and international markets, detailing Booost's market position within the midstream sector and essential strategic points crucial for future business growth. Furthermore, he addressed the shift towards proactive approaches, suggesting the potential for leveraging actual data in strategic and organizational support businesses after implementing tools like Sustainability ERP.
During the Q&A session, participants engaged in deep discussions on significant topics such as the role of sustainability promotion offices in management, the necessity for transforming disclosure tasks from mere operations into strategic endeavors, and the essence of SX itself. Each attendee reflected on their company's unique circumstances, re-evaluating the significance of engaging with SX initiatives.
Booost is actively seeking "Booosters" who are ready to tackle humanity's most pressing challenges through sustainable talent development initiatives and community engagement.
