JMAM Launches New E-Learning Courses on Preconception Care
In February 2026, the Japan Management Association Management Center (JMAM) will introduce two innovative e-learning courses aimed at promoting preconception care in the corporate setting. These courses, "Understand Health Management®20: Preconception Care" and "Self-Check 20: Understanding Preconception Care," are designed to equip both corporations and individuals with essential knowledge about preconception health management.
Background of Development
Preconception care is not just about preparing for future pregnancy and childbirth; it encompasses lifelong health and wellness, focusing on building healthy habits from a young age. Given the rise in later marriages and diverse lifestyles, the importance of preconception care has garnered significant attention, with a call for workplace and societal understanding and support. According to the "Health Management Degree Survey 2025", related questions have been integrated into the questionnaire, revealing that awareness among large corporations certified for good health management is approximately 30%, with about 30% of these implementing preconception care initiatives.
JMAM's new courses are aimed at enhancing understanding of the significance of preconception care and its health management principles. The courses will guide employees to develop balanced lifestyles related to nutrition, exercise, and sleep, as well as infection prevention strategies. This proactive approach is not only aimed at fostering personal health but also at contributing to enhanced organizational performance and productivity through a consistent and supportive environment for employees.
