CLO Summit Munich 2025: A Major Gathering for the 3D Fashion Community
CLO Virtual Fashion, an industry leader in 3D garment visualization and design, recently hosted its most extensive CLO Summit in Europe to date. Taking place on September 30, 2025, the event brought together over 300 professionals from the European 3D fashion community at the Bergson Kunstkraftwerk, a newly established cultural hub in Munich.
For the first time, the summit welcomed not only industry corporations but also freelancers and university educators, creating a rich platform for networking and showcasing talent across the continent. Attendees hailed from more than 100 renowned brands, including H&M, Marks & Spencer, Adidas, HUGO BOSS, BERSHKA, ZARA, and IKEA of Sweden, as well as prestigious institutions such as the London College of Fashion and the Amsterdam Fashion Institute.
The summit featured presentations and panel discussions led by CLO’s CEO Simon JH Kim, founder Jaden Oh, and Yazan Malkosh, founder of a recently acquired showroom company. Jaden Oh returned to Europe after five years to share insights on CLO's future development, heavily influenced by its robust user base in the region. He expressed, “It was truly rewarding to meet and engage in person with so many of our users. Their feedback reaffirms our commitment to enhancing our users' creative workflows, making processes from design to production smoother and more intuitive.”
The agenda for the day focused on best practices and solutions for scaling 3D workflows, recognizing Europe as a mature 3D market. The summit aimed to provide scalable solutions for companies of all sizes, collaborating with partners in CLO’s Ecosystem Partner Program (EPP) like EnhanceThat, which promotes streamlined workflows and collaboration for growth.
The expanded exhibition area highlighted CLO’s solutions, including the automation and integration booth and the new CLO zFab Kit designed for scaling 3D workflows. Notable partners presented their offerings as well, including HUMANETICS, DMIx, Epic Games, and Adobe Substance 3D. This ecosystem-focused approach is essential for CLO to propel the global design and production workflows of digital garments, enhancing every facet of garment creation.
In a bid to connect academia with the fashion industry, CLO presented the Emerging Talent Award at the summit. This initiative enabled students from 39 European schools to showcase their work, resulting in 78 nominations. Ten finalists received annual subscriptions to CLO to further develop their 3D design skills and were included in CLO’s New Talent database, enabling connections with industry opportunities. Two winners, one for Best Conceptual Design and another for Best Technical Design, received monetary awards.
Simon JH Kim emphasized, “Users are the cornerstone of our growth. Celebrating this community remains a priority for us, as they will guide our direction in the years to come. This summit is incredibly valuable to users who face various challenges in their companies and seek essential insights from their peers. With our CLO Summits, we aim to foster an environment where perspectives can be shared and new ideas can emerge.”
The expansion of the summit to include academic and individual users seeks to inspire more collaboration and innovation, fostering strong synergies among participants. Ultimately, CLO’s focus remains on empowering users, ensuring the summit is a space where their voices and experiences take center stage.
