Dive into the World of Taxes at KidZania Tokyo's TAX WEEK 2025

From November 11 to November 17, 2025, KidZania Tokyo will host a special event known as TAX WEEK 2025, developed in conjunction with the Tokyo Federation of Corporations. This initiative aligns with the nationwide 'Tax Awareness Week,' aiming to educate children about the importance of taxes in a fun and interactive environment.

During this week, a temporary pavilion called the TAX OFFICE will open its doors, allowing young visitors to step into the shoes of tax officials. Here, they'll learn critical information about different types of taxes, how they are used, ways to pay them, and applicable tax rates. Through hands-on activities, children will engage in real-life simulations, including tax audits at various retail outlets within KidZania.

In the Tax Office pavilion, children can participate in various roles that mimic tax responsibilities:

• - Tax Auditor: This activity accommodates six participants at a time for about 30 minutes. Kids will learn about types of taxes and payment methods before heading to KidZania's shops to verify the accuracy of submitted consumption tax returns. Each participant will earn 10 KidZos for their effort.

• - Tax Communication Officer: Four kids can take on this role for about 25 minutes in two sessions daily. Participants will delve into the world of taxes, exploring topics such as tax types and global tax systems. Their mission will be to impart tax knowledge to KidZania's residents through seminars and social media posts (managed within a closed environment). Like the Tax Auditor, participants will also receive 10 KidZos.

• - Survey Activity: This engagement allows four children to partake in a 15-minute quest where they gather opinions on taxes from KidZania's community, earning 3 KidZos for their contributions.

Moreover, the event includes a Tax Quiz Contest open to children and their guardians or teachers, designed to foster knowledge of taxation in a competitive and entertaining format. Additionally, there will be a Tax Quiz Rally, wherein kids answer tax-related questions located at three spots throughout KidZania. Correct answers will earn them special prizes.

KidZania Tokyo has been running Tax Week since 2012, partnering with the Tokyo Federation of Corporations to inspire children about the essential role taxes play in facilitating a healthy and cultural lifestyle. The organizers anticipate that by engaging in this pavilion's activities, children will cultivate a genuine interest in understanding taxes, their necessity, and their various applications.

In addition to these special programs, eight permanent pavilions will incorporate tax-related content, showcasing how taxes impact everyday life in various professional contexts, such as:
