USPS Unveils New Stamp Designs and Locations Set for Release in 2026

USPS Unveils New Stamp Designs for 2026

The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is gearing up for 2026 by introducing an exciting lineup of new stamp designs and release locations. This announcement brings the promise of fresh art that highlights significant themes, from holidays to societal awareness.

New Stamp Design Highlights

Among the highlights is a bold new design for the U.S. Flag Stamped Envelope. Artist Bryan Duefrene aimed to deliver a striking representation of the flag by emphasizing elements of the Stars and Stripes rather than depicting the entire flag. With its eye-catching red, white, and blue hues, this stamped envelope provides not only the practicality of postage but also a patriotic visual appeal.

Another major highlight is the U.S. Coast Guard Academy stamp. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the academy, and USPS continues its tradition of honoring military institutions. Designed by Antonio Alcalá, the stamp features stunning imagery of the USCGC Eagle, a training vessel used since 1946, alongside the national security cutter, USCGC Bertholf, capturing the essence of maritime training.

A unique addition is the Know the Facts About Fentanyl semipostal stamp. Addressing the ongoing opioid crisis, this stamp not only spreads awareness but also raises funds to support research into addiction treatment. With a focus on healing and recovery, the design by Whitney Sherman reflects the serious nature of this public health issue, promising a hopeful message.

Christmas is celebrated with the return of the Christmas Cookies stamp, a tribute to the joy of baking during the festive season. Featuring delightful images of sugar cookies designed by Kyrie Johnson, this stamp is intended to add a sprinkle of cheer to holiday mail.
