Global Leadership Forecast 2027 Launch: A Major Study on Leadership Strategies

Global Leadership Forecast 2027: Overview and Insights

The Global Leadership Forecast (GLF) 2027, the largest global survey focused on leadership, was launched by Management Service Center (MSC), located in Tokyo, in collaboration with American partner DDI (Development Dimensions International, Inc.). Commencing on April 14, 2026, this extensive survey aims to explore the impact of leadership and HR strategies on company performance in the face of AI advancements and increased uncertainty.

Understanding the Need for Leadership and Strategy

In today's rapidly evolving business environment, organizations face constant change, making leadership and strategic human resources (HR) more crucial than ever. The GLF seeks to identify what types of leadership and HR initiatives drive company success in this AI age. Many organizations often struggle to articulate how their HR efforts contribute to overall business results and where they stand compared to global leaders.

A Continuous Research Effort

This year marks the 12th iteration of the GLF, which has been conducted every two to three years since its inception in 1999. The previous survey attracted over 10,000 leaders and more than 2,000 HR professionals from over 50 countries. A core strength of the GLF is its ability to move beyond mere perception analysis; it effectively links leadership development and HR investments to measurable business outcomes.

Survey Structure and Participation

The survey will run from April 14, 2026, to June 15, 2026, for HR professionals, and until June 30, 2026, for leaders. Participating companies need at least one HR professional and 30 leaders to receive a tailored company report. The survey is conducted online, requiring approximately 15 minutes to complete.

  • - Verification of the relationship between HR practices, talent development, and business performance.
  • - Visualization of the perception gaps among executives, frontline leaders, and HR.
  • - Comparative analysis with global industry leaders to determine current standings and future steps.

This report includes comparisons across global, regional, industry, and top-performing companies, highlighting strengths and weaknesses in leadership development practices.
