FOTON Showcases Comprehensive Product Line at Hannover IAA Amid Global Low-Carbon Push
FOTON's Grand Presentation at Hannover IAA 2026
As the world continues to shift towards reducing carbon emissions, Europe has emerged as a crucial testing ground for commercial vehicles equipped with innovative drive technologies. This is largely due to the continent's stringent regulatory frameworks and well-developed logistics systems. FOTON, a leading player in this field, is making significant strides beyond mere exports; the company is focused on delivering comprehensive, localized solutions that encompass products, technology, supply chains, and customer services.
At the upcoming IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover, FOTON will showcase its offerings with a prominent 1,000-square-meter booth under the theme "EASY MOVE." The company plans to present seven complete vehicle models alongside six of its own developed core components. These products have been specifically adapted to meet the prevalent transport scenarios found across Europe, ranging from long-distance logistics to city waste management and public transportation. Among the exhibits will be several models that incorporate new drive technologies, high-performance batteries, electric axles, electronic controls, and megawatt charging stations, demonstrating FOTON's robust independent research and development capabilities across the entire value chain.
FOTON's new drive technology products, certified with WVTA and VECTO, are gaining traction in various European nations. To support this growth, the company's regional spare parts distribution center in Unna, Germany, has officially commenced operations, significantly enhancing local service efficiency. Supported by 32 localized overseas plants, over 1,200 sales points, and more than 1,500 service stations, FOTON has established a seamless service system ensuring timely vehicle delivery, spare parts supply, and maintenance. From January to August 2026, FOTON's export volume peaked at 149,000 units, reflecting an impressive year-over-year increase of 44.3%.
On the media day scheduled for September 14, from 8:40 to 9:10 a.m. local time in Germany (live-streamed from 2:40 to 3:10 p.m. in China), FOTON will announce three pivotal strategic initiatives. First, the company is set to unveil a new European market strategy that focuses on advancing products in the new energy sector, localizing business operations, and forming a robust service ecosystem, all tied to its dedication to promoting carbon-neutral transformation for commercial vehicles in Europe.
Secondly, FOTON will celebrate the delivery milestone of its 13-millionth vehicle globally, with plans to introduce this model initially in Spain, marking a significant step in the company's globalization journey. Lastly, the event will feature the launch of the CAVAN BEACON, a versatile electric/hydrogen heavy-duty truck capable of long distances exceeding 300 km. This will be accompanied by the introduction of seven new energy vehicles (NEVs) and six core components (including a triple electric drive and megawatt charging technology), showcasing FOTON's complete technological independence and a CO₂-neutral logistics solution from China.
The booth will open to dealers, customers, and media representatives worldwide from September 15 to 20. Industry partners including ZF, CATL, and EVE Energy will also participate, highlighting the strength of their collaborative supply chain.
This showcase in Hannover marks a significant new chapter for FOTON in Europe, serving as a powerful testament to Chinese smart manufacturing capabilities on the global stage.
