A New Approach to Summer Research for Kids
This summer, Bell Fitness, a fitness club operated by Bellmall Corporation, has embarked on an innovative journey in collaboration with Bravo Group. They have launched a special summer initiative called “Myzone Summer Research and Social Contribution Challenge,” designed specifically for the children enrolled in the BF Kids after-school program.
The program harnesses the cutting-edge wearable technology of Myzone, which visualizes heart rates using colors. During lessons, elementary school students can observe and record their exercise intensity and changes in heart rate in real time, effectively documenting their findings as part of a summer research project. In addition, each participating child receives a tree-planting gift, intertwining social contribution with their learning experience, garnering significant attention.
Nature of the Program
This unique initiative revolves around three themes: exercise, learning, and environmental consciousness, marking it as a notable concept for summer research. It encourages children to develop autonomy and observational skills while also fostering conversations between parents and children.
Currently, the initiative is running impressively well, offering the following details:
- - Challenge Period: July 28, 2025, (Monday) - August 31, 2025, (Sunday)
- - Participation Fee: Free (monthly tuition separate)
- - Target Audience: Elementary school students enrolled in BF Kids at Bell Fitness
- - Special Gifts: Each participant receives a tree-planting gift, along with a certificate of planting and a fun participation prize, as well as a summer research kit.
How to Participate
To start, parents must download the Myzone app to their smartphones, syncing their child's information with the MZ-Switch device, which requires two email addresses for participation.
Once the MZ-Switch device is worn, children can participate in BF lesson activities where their heart rates will be displayed on monitors and the app in real time. The maximum heart rate is set at 100%, with real-time effort displayed in colors, instantly communicating how hard they are exercising.
Understanding Heart Rate with Colors
The app processes heart rate data and organizes it into colored categories based on intensity, displaying it in graph form. It also measures unique metrics like MEPs (Myzone Effort Points) and calories burned, which can be recorded in their personalized summer research kits.
This new approach facilitates observation of their exercise with heart rates visualized in color, allowing children to notice changes in their bodies through this hands-on learning experience, simultaneously nurturing their health and contributing to global environmental goals.
Contents of the Summer Research Kit
Tailored to elementary school grades, each summer research kit is thoughtfully designed. It includes sections where children write about their efforts based on the color of their heart rates displayed during lessons. They can even place stickers representing their heart rate colors on an illustrative lion, naturally fostering awareness of the relationship between exercise and heart rate.
Throughout the summer break, students will engage in four lessons, compiling their notes, feelings from each session, changes in heart rates, and personal growth into their summer research kits. This program aims to make the research process enjoyable and enriching for children.
Commitment to Future Learning
By visualizing exercise, the program deepens children's awareness and learning while also contributing to social causes, shaping a fresh experience for summer breaks. Moving forward, Bell Fitness and Myzone will continue to foster a nurturing environment for local children, expanding avenues for learning that will positively impact the future.
