Make-A-Wish and Chase Renew Their Partnership



In an inspiring development, Make-A-Wish has announced the renewal of its partnership with Chase, aimed at making the travel wishes of children facing critical illnesses a reality. This revitalized collaboration signifies an increase in support, with Chase committing a substantial contribution of $3 million, which encompasses a mix of Chase Ultimate Rewards® points and cash. Over the course of their collaboration since 2024, Chase has already helped fulfill over 300 wishes by donating more than 150 million Ultimate Rewards points, illustrating the meaningful impact of this partnership.

A Crucial Need


According to Make-A-Wish, more than 80% of the pending wishes involve travel, emphasizing an urgent need for resources to help these children's dreams come true. To facilitate these travel wishes each year, the organization requires an astonishing 2.8 billion miles—equivalent to around 50,000 round-trip airline tickets. The high costs often associated with airfare are a primary concern for granting these wishes, as stated by Leslie Motter, the president and CEO of Make-A-Wish America. "When a wish includes air travel, airfare costs are frequently the largest expense, and for every wish we fulfill, there are two more children with critical illnesses still waiting to have their wishes come true."

Transformative Experiences


This renewed partnership fuels the journeys of deserving children like twelve-year-old Brynn, an avid bird enthusiast. Brynn's wish to visit Hawaii with her family not only provided her with a unique experience but also a fresh outlook during her fight against a vascular disorder. Similarly, 15-year-old Lila cherished memories with her mother during their adventure to Pfeiffer Beach, while another wish recipient, 15-year-old Dylan, enjoyed an opportunity to watch his favorite team compete in the World Series.

For these children, participating in such adventures allows for replacing feelings of fear with confidence, transforming sadness into joy, and providing a sense of hope amid their struggles. Studies highlight that fulfilling a wish can considerably boost the physical and emotional well-being of children battling critical health issues, significantly enhancing their chances of survival.
