Wittamer: Celebrating 35 Years in Japan
The esteemed Belgian chocolate brand, Wittamer, is set to commemorate its 35th anniversary in Japan this autumn. To further endear itself to Japanese consumers, the brand will be revamping its signature chocolate selections: Chocolat de Wittamer, Chocolat Grand, and Chocolat Luxe, starting from September 1. This relaunch comes with the mission of delivering truly exquisite chocolates that resonate with Japanese culture and lifestyle, especially amidst global discussions surrounding cocoa sustainability.
A Thoughtful Renewal
The transformation of these beloved chocolates embodies a comprehensive update of ingredients, flavor profiles, presentation, and packaging. Wittamer's chefs collaborated closely on the redesign, weaving in essences of European trends while aligning with Japanese tastes. The new packaging adopts a modern and elegant white base, mirroring the aesthetics of the original Belgian designs, combining simplicity with a contemporary flair that captures the brand's essence.
This evolution aims to bring the beauty, comfort, and elation of chocolate into everyday life, making Wittamer a more relatable luxury for everyone.

Belgium is celebrated for its rich chocolate heritage, characterized by the meticulous method of encapsulating ganaches and pralines within beautifully shaped chocolates. Each chocolate encapsulates a remarkable array of textures and flavors, from velvety ganache to distinct praline, along with luscious confitures and caramel sauces that tantalize the taste buds.
A Journey of Flavor
The renewal project has been a labor of love spanning nearly two years, focusing on the selection of chocolate types suited for various ingredients, preserving the fresh essence of fruits, and orchestrating the tasting sequence to elevate the overall experience. The current blends promise to provide a rich, layered tasting journey, revealing an amalgamation of flavors that linger delightfully.
