ChangAn Automobile Launches in Europe
ChangAn Automobile, known for its commitment to low-carbon mobility technology, has made a significant entry into the European market by launching its three major brands: CHANG-AN, DEEPAL, and AVATR. This event took place in Mainz, Germany, under the theme "Sharing the Future," marking a pivotal moment in the company's strategic expansion plans. With this launch, ChangAn aims to strengthen its technological innovation and sustainability efforts across Europe.
A New Phase of Commitment
The launch is part of ChangAn’s ambitious "Vast Ocean Plan" which not only emphasizes the importance of technological advancements but also showcases their commitment to environmental sustainability. With a fully integrated European ecosystem that encompasses research, production, supply chain, sales, and operations, ChangAn is poised to establish a deeper connection with European consumers. This will be achieved through investments in local talent and collaborations with regional partners.
Showcasing Technological Innovations
At the launch event, ChangAn presented the DEEPAL S07 on its European debut, in addition to the CHANG-AN E07 and DEEPAL S05, with plans for their market launches in the near future. The introduction of these models reflects ChangAn’s dedication to meeting the European demand for high-performance electric vehicles that incorporate cutting-edge intelligence and electrification technologies. These innovations underscore ChangAn’s global collaborative R&D system, which spans across six countries and ten locations, tapping into a vast network of over 18,000 R&D personnel from 31 countries.

To effectively penetrate the European market, ChangAn has devised a structured entry strategy that initially focuses on key electric vehicle markets, including Norway, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK. The company’s ambitious goal is to establish a presence across all major European markets by 2028. The European headquarters, located in the Netherlands, will serve as a central hub for operations, while a dedicated sales headquarters has been set up in Munich, Germany. Currently, around 500 professionals are employed across Europe, including skilled designers and engineers from Italy and the UK, with plans to further expand the local talent pool.
Vision for the Future
